What is Lip Augmentation?

Men and women are realizing the benefits of adding volume to the lips. With lip augmentation, you can add fullness to the upper or lower lip, as well as soften lines around the mouth. A lip lift can be as subtle or dramatic as you desire, and the technique used by Dr. Ayala allows you to change the shape and size of your lips every few months.

What is a Lip Lift?

A lip lift is a cosmetic procedure that adds volume to the upper or lower lips. Lip lifts are performed with dermal fillers instead of silicone implants.

What Are the Benefits of Lip Augmentation?

  • Non-surgical
  • No downtime
  • No lengthy recovery, unlike silicone implants
  • Make changes with each follow-up treatment
  • Precision control over the amount of “lift”

Who is a Good Candidate for Lip Augmentation?

We use popular dermal fillers for our lip lift procedures, so most people are good candidates. Let Dr. Ayala know if you have any history with dermal fillers and injectables, including any adverse reactions or dissatisfaction with the results of the treatments.

What is the Procedure for Lip Augmentation?

Dermal fillers are typically administered with a needle, and this technique allows very little control over how the gel is distributed in the skin. Dr. Ayala performs lip lift treatments with a cannula: a thin, flexible tube that he can maneuver in the skin to disperse the dermal filler gel. This produces a more consistent and natural look compared to needle techniques.

  • Bruising or facial swelling
  • Infection
  • Bleeding
  • Scarring
  • Asymmetry

How Much Does Lip Augmentation Cost?

Lip augmentation costs vary based on the type of dermal fillers that are used. After you meet with Dr. Ayala, we can provide a cost, as well as information on our financing options through Prosper® and CareCredit®.
