Overview
What Is Skin Cancer Reconstruction?
Skin cancer reconstruction is the surgical restoration of facial tissue following the removal of a cancerous lesion. The goal is to close the defect left by excision in a way that restores natural facial contour, preserves function, and achieves the best possible cosmetic outcome for the patient.
Reconstruction is not a separate afterthought. At Ayala ENT & Facial Plastic Surgery, it is planned alongside removal from the beginning, with the approach tailored to the specific size, depth, and location of each defect.
