A person who suffers from ENT conditions may have a variety of issues that cause the symptoms. The MiniCAT™ IQ system is a high-resolution imaging system that creates three-dimensional images of the sinuses, temporal bones, and base of the skull. The images take only 60 seconds, so you do not have to wait for the results. Dr. Ayala can manipulate the images to view the scans from multiple angles, giving him a great deal of insight about your condition.
The images from the Xoran® MiniCAT™ system are used as the basis for treatment, including our NuVent® EM balloon sinuplasty procedure. The scans are uploaded into our Medtronic Image Guidance System to provide Dr. Ayala with a clear path through the sinuses to remove blockages and correct abnormalities.
If you need balloon sinuplasty, Dr. Ayala uses the NuVent™ EM system. It uses electromagnetic surgical navigation to guide Dr. Ayala during the procedure. He can access and modify soft tissue, bone and cartilage.
